Three overlooks and a trail shelter, above the CCC swimming hole on Anthony Creek. Connects to the Anthony Creek Trail.

Getting to the trailhead

Blue Bend Recreation Area, 8 miles north of White Sulphur Springs on Route 92 then 4 miles west on Route 16

Worth knowing

Closed to saddle, pack and draft animals.

Part of Lake Sherwood and Blue Bend

Two White Sulphur Ranger District recreation areas within a few miles of each other on the Virginia line: Lake Sherwood, with 18 miles of trail around the largest lake on the forest, and Blue Bend, with a five-mile loop above a swimming hole the Civilian Conservation Corps built on Anthony Creek in the 1930s.
