Rohrbaugh Trail

Runs the Rohrbaugh Plains cliff edge above Red Creek, with the view down the canyon.

Part of Dolly Sods Wilderness

17,371 acres across Grant, Randolph and Tucker counties with 47 miles of trail, most of it on old railroad grades and logging roads, between 2,500 feet and over 4,700 feet. The Forest Service describes bog and heath more typical of southern Canada, which is why the open ground drains slowly. There is no potable water, and the agency asks visitors not to disturb unexploded ordnance left from World War II training.
